The Sex Scholar -- or, the Victorian Woman's Manifesto

The Sex Scholar

Decades before Kinsey, Stanford professor Clelia Mosher polled Victorian-era women on their bedroom behavior—then kept the startling results under wraps.

Just thinking of you yesterday -- sorry to be a lousy correspondent, but things are finally slightly better here. Probably not this year -- money is bleeding out of my savings. Trying to do SoonerCon and ArmadilloCon -- maybe ApolloCon or Fencon. How are things at your end?

Things are OK. Busy. I need one less thing in my life. Wanted it to be the day job, but the stock market slide put that on hold for a while.

And even though it's busy, I still find ways to waste time, which is very very bad.

WFC will be my only con this year, barring the inevitable unforeseen. I'll be driving, which was why I asked. I could have picked you up on the way.

Glad that things are better. How was the winter? Did you have a hard time adjusting?

So finally, I answer --

I understand about the stock market slide changing things -- happened here, too. Been...nervy, shall we say. Your offer of a ride is sweet, but I think you're thinking of my summer address in Michigan or something -- isn't the convention in Columbus, OH? I'm still in Texas.

I will make you a deal, though. I've had some inquiries about work. If anything goes through, with real money coming in, even if I don't bother to get a membership, I will investigate coming to WFC. It would be good to see folk, and I am feeling well enough to sit outside the bar and chat with folk.

Winter was hard -- spring, better. Have lost four dress sizes, eating macro working well for me, with occasional fish -- now trying to find a few lifestyle changes that will throw me into remission. Mailed off the dollhouse story, finally, and am entering several notebooks of notes into the computer. So, the brain is finally thinking fiction again!

How's the writing at your end?
