Ah, popularity....

Well, I can't refer people to the local library to read any of my books. Only one of them is still listed, and it's listed as missing. So -- assuming they would not take them out of the collection if they are local authors, they've all been stolen.

But the title was NOT "Steal this book!"

I've heard that sometimes if there is stuff that offends certain conservative churches (like books about gay peeps), they get people to steal books on purpose because they know libraries don't have enough money to replace all of the books.

Well, there wasn't a lot of sex, but sterility forces a lot of families to be polygamous. I supposed that might get them to steal the series. And the ALfreda books have magic.

You think they'd try to whittle down the Harry Potters or Laurel K Hamiltons first....

There actually was a book published called "Steal This Book", by 60's activist, Abbie Hoffman.

My point exactly -- the title is so iconic, you would think no one else could use it!
