The Lyme Report -- the latest Texas doctor shot down by IDSA and the Texas Medical Board

But weren't the IDSA guidelines shown to be biased and written by people directly benefiting from those guidelines? Mais, oui, my friends. Here's the latest victim, Dr. Ron Wilson:

It's not relevant to Texas.

My husband received a tentative diagnosis of lyme infection today.

They started immediate treatment.

It's one week from exposure. Full recovery is expected.

It's pretty much directly because of you that we checked for-- and found-- the bites after seeing deer where we were walking Labor Day.

Thought you'd want to know.

Catch it early! And if there's the slightest chance that he needs a second round of antibiotics, ask for it. If they balk, point out that they're writing scripts for months of antibiotics for acne -- another 10 days of doxycycline is not asking for a lot.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you both -- which it should.

For we three--

Once home, Best Beloved called the Summer Child's mother and asked her to do a physical check-over on her, since she was with us on Labor Day.

There is a suspicious bite on her shoulder.
She is being taken to a doctor today.

Thank you.

Thank you for taking the risks so seriously.

May all be well.
