Turned my Alfreda novel fragment into a short story.
And it's even good!
(And a good thing--I have a nightmare of two days of work ahead of me. Why did I think web work would be interesting?)

You might want to wait--it seems that I now know when Allie was first acquired by cats, and may have to write the story. See, there was a young polydactyl from Boston, who hopped ship and ended up in NYC....

This one stands alone--it's about Allie's first duck hunt, so to speak--takes place during NIGHT CALLS.
Now, if I start the fragment about when her first cat shows up, that will probably be in the new book.
