Boycotting SyFy, hummm.....

The Star Gate: Universe people are starting a boycott. It's a PITA when they cancel something you enjoy. My problem is finding something I liked that disappears. I enjoy Eureka, Warehouse 13, Sanctuary and Haven, among SyFy's offerings. But I have to chase them around, since there is no season anymore, not really. Never got into the StarGate Universe, although the movie was lots of fun. It arrived during a complicated part of my life -- and life stays complicated....

Who you need on your side are the people watching against ST:U, who are Nielsen people. That will have impact. Or convince the advertisers there are enough of you to make it worth their request for more show. That would be my guess....

Hulu.com (which I admit I'm loud about) carries all five four of them, and will email when they get new ones. They hold onto them for a few weeks so you aren't TOO rushed.

The last few that they got from SciFi have been in the wrong order, though.

Good to know. I'm in the odd situation that my apartment complex buys basic cable, and I must carry it -- so when I drop it, if I do so to save money, it will be all upper level things, DVR and phone -- I'll get Internet from them or SBC, whichever has the best deal.

But I will still have Skiffy....

In my case, cancelling Stargate Universe was one of the few decent things the Syphyllus Channel has done. Utter dreck. The other one syou mentioned are favorites of mine. The key is they, along with USA network, got into counter-programming a few years ago, where they put their new episodes on in Jan and the summer when everyone else had re-runs. It was a nice system, and gave us new episodes to watch when nothing else was on. This year they just got strange and had their winter season on in Nov-Dec rather than Jan.

I think you've hit on it. I started a lot of USA programming back then, but then when it shifted, I lost track. And then the great "change your DVR programming software" debacle lost me a bunch of stuff.

Just weaning me from cable faster....
