I think it's a rather alarmist article... a lap desk is a perfectly good solution for this problem. Not like I have to worry about it like the male subjects in this article do, but I do like to sit in bed and write with the laptop in my lap, and I bought a lap desk maybe ten years ago.

Just Googled this, and there are companies already offering "heat protection" lap desks, which probably are identical to the ones that have been on the market for years.

I am amused by the sudden alarm--this didn't occur to guys, when the first thing a fertility doctor tells them is, have the guy wear boxers instead of briefs? (VBG)
