So -- Now they limit how many requests you can make from one email address. Farming for more of your email addresses, I imagine. Has anyone come up with a solution to hiding from the Internet that they'd like to share? I'm about to cancel my phone completely to get off that grid. I'm thinking about getting a box at POBox, but that doesn't hide some info. I don't make enough to incorporate and hide behind that.

when this first came out about Spokeo, several folks suggested creating some email addresses just for that purpose and then to abandon them.

That's probably what I will do for now. I had taken care of a bunch of things, but a relative was searching variants and old stuff came up I'd rather have disappear.

You can only search one email address? I don't get it. Who is farming? I've paid Spokeo for their services before and it's not that great.

My advice to you is pay for DBA. In Bastrop county it cost $35 and it's good for 10 years. I have one so I can write checks and have a biz under that name. It's much harder to trace someone that way.

You did it in Bastrop County? Were you living there, or just chose a county you weren't living in?
