Please, universe, not again....

And the first thing TurboTax does upon being asked to start a new return, or use the hand-holding system -- or anything else -- is to go to the support page online. The support person says she thinks she's heard of this one, and would I like to download a new copy of the program? (This means my CD is defective, or what?)

This does not bode well. I get to un-install the other one first. But there's no uninstall in the Start list. Apparently it will tell me I need to uninstall when I try to load the new one.

I see all kinds of fun lined up here. Have I mentioned that, after years of faithful service, the past two years of TurboTax have driven me nuts? They are on very thin ice with me.

I need some of Suri's icons for this -- I don't have the proper vocabulary for TurboTax multi-installation.

But it's Wednesday, which is client night, so I have to go prepare -- and finish the kale pesto. Later, Turbotax....

actually that just overwrites the earlier program, mostly its because when they put out the disc, they hadnt gotten all of the newest updates in.

So the four minutes of updates that happened first were just a test run? This is apparently Something Else(tm).
