What else should be turned into a ministries or series?

Over at SF Signal's MIND MELD this week, the Question was about other fantasy novels that would make excellent series. I was delighted to play, but I tried to keep my answer simple.

Fortunately, other people mentioned the works that occurred to me, but I didn't spell out -- like the Chronicles of Prydain series, Charmed Life, and the Bridge of Birds AND its sequels (YES!)

I'd also like to see done Steven Brust's Vlad series, American Gods, Robin McKinley's Damar series, Scott Lynch's books, and don't forget The Atrocity Archives and The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross.

These are all books and series I would have happily tossed into the mix while discussing such a project. Other books were mentioned that did not immediately spring to my mind, yet would also be excellent. The SyFy channel cannot say there isn't a lot of great material out there waiting to be turned into high-rated viewing.

What didn't we get to? What would you like to see made into a ministries, series or movie?

Lots of Heinlein's works would be great to do -- although we've seen that they can concentrate on flash and not get a lot of the ideas behind it.

I love Guy Kay's works, also, but I fear they'd miss the subtlety of them.

Brian Dailey's White Ship Trilogy - Jinx on a Terran Inheritance was the first title as I recall.

I haven't read Dailey's work -- I will have to remember this series!
