I've had a chillow (water filled pillow thing) work reasonably well, but you have to keep moving every few hours to get away from the corner you've jsut headed up :0
a corn (or rice) bag seems to help pretty well, too. they take just enough heat off, resting on the pillow "above" (touching) the crown of your head. they don't need to be chilled per se, either. just their regular "room temperature" from being in an air conditioned room seems to work fine.
