Why I eat weird I.E. healthy....

I don't scare people very often, but I know you people eat at these restaurants. May I suggest that you avoid these dishes? And yes, MickyD's does make some people physically ill. I can't eat there anymore.

My reward for all this healthy eating? Well, I didn't die, my brain is coming back and a Chinese doctor looked at my tongue last week and told me my tongue was 20 years younger than my chronological age.

This gives me and my tongue lots of time to find great tasting food we can safely eat! The wild Sockeye Salmon I bought last week is AWESOME, just for starters....

I had no idea that the chipotle grilled chicken was that calorie and fat laden! Esp since I eat these about once a week.

This is what Chiptole displays:
http://www.chipotle.com/en-us/menu/nutritional_information/nutritional_information.aspx

and if you try to tally up what is in the burrito even accounting for cheese (which i never get) you STILL don't come up with the numbers on the article.

I suspect the article number is closer to the real truth..rather than Chiptole's...but would love to know what exactly was in their burrito? sour cream? what?

Part of the difference could be the amount of each ingredient -- during rush hour these things tend to get bigger, unless they're noticing the trend, and go in the opposite direction.

Sometimes the pics look like there's a lot more food than you actually get. But you've been struggling with calorie creep -- this might be one of the places, if the fat content is high?

Good grief. I can't eat any of these things, since they have dairy or meat or both. But I had no idea.

I just looked up what I do eat at Taco Bell, and aside from the appalling amount of sodium (990 grams in a 350-calorie fresco burrito?) it's really okay. They really ought to work on their sodium levels, though. Yikes.

It's bizarre, isn't it? Americans eat way too much animal products, I know that now. And you're quite right, sodium is a big problem. Cutting back causes another problem -- food is often over-seasoned in restaurants. Salt and fat add flavor, of course.

I hope a basic bean burrito on corn tortilla is not crazed -- occasionally that's all I can find to eat in a fast food row. I pack calorie bars with me for a reason!
