A Valentine to Jonny Quest

The animated show "Jonny Quest" was only on for one season, and animated figures were a future phenomenon. Here's one man's answer to that lack of action figures (done in clay, I think -- I haven't checked out the "making of..." link yet.)

"Jonny Quest" was one of my top 3 fave cartoons, right up there with Bugs Bunny and Pals (I also loved "Space Ghost"). I still watch it when it pops up on the odd cable station. The stories were good, though in some cases a little harsh. Vengeance, red in tooth and claw. I doubt it would pass as a cartoon these days, but it would make a dandy written YA series.

Yes, one of the things satisfying about it was that most of the bad guys got what they deserved, unlike real life. I still watch them, too! I always wrote a plucky girl into the plot.
