I just recognized a friend's icon flit by above my searching on Google.

Looks like it's time to join an Anonymous site for searches.

Is Google **trying** to drive me away from everything of theirs that I like?

make sure you are logged out of gmail when you do searches. I noticed the same thing.

I'm not sure it matters anymore. I have to read the changes to the privacy that they sent me, but I've heard they follow you all over the Internet now.
