Some of these things I knew about, but some are new to me. I know our ancestors used to store eggs in salt to keep them fresh. Veggies in sand is one I hadn't come across yet.

One of the things I most enjoy is how the future may not be all Blade Runner shiny, but often subtle. We will use our understanding in a better way.
