Think minor hearing loss is no big deal? Think again --

Recent studies suggest that hearing loss and dementia can be linked -- and the link is statistically significant. So if you can't hear? Check into hearing aids, because it may make a difference in more ways than you expect!

That's a really interesting study. My husband's cognitive problems started when he began to lose his hearing, but I didn't think to wonder if they might be related. He does have a hearing aid, but I'm not sure how much it helps the rest of his brain. Thanks for the pointer.

I thought this was very important because I've seen friends become isolated when they cannot hear the conversations going on around them.

A little thing to consider -- can you get good oils into him? Unheated EVOO, sesame oil, coconut oil, MCT oil, avocado, butter from grass fed cows? Grass fed beef?

You can't go nuts on these if you are still eating wheat, because you'll gain weight quickly. But substitute good fats for wheat, etc. and interesting things happen.

I mention it because I think dovetailing macrobiotics with the Bulletproof Exec diet is healing my Lyme brain damage. I do not know if anyone has tried using it to reverse age-related cognitive damage. But if it won't hurt and might help?...

It is possible that hearing loss can be caused by a deficiency of Vitamin C in the diet.

I love it when there's something you may be able to do about a health problem! Thanks for bringing it up.
