Mozilla Add-ons....
You know you have a different map of the world when you cannot find add-ons you need with the search words you enter. I know there's a good add-on for editing inside of bulletin boards/blogs, for HTML with URLs, italics, etc. I could still use this, despite Live Journal's upgrades to their system. Can't remember the name, and a friend is holding my tower incognito!
And I still want an add-on that will tell me when I last visited a site. I need to tidy up cobwebs!
I've decided to modify the crap out of WIN 8. Any suggestions for WIN 8 mods to make it a better work machine cheerfully accepted.
Next time I want to budget for the equivalent of an Apple Mac. They may no longer be the great machine they are now, so not promising....
Sorry to ask again. Today, I make the change -- if I can figure it out. Using Firefox 18.0.1 right now.

Is it my favourite BBCode again? I managed to fiddle inside the .xpi to get higher versions of Firefox to recognise it and work with it, but maybe you would be fine with this similar add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bbcodextra/
If you check the original BBCode Addon page at MOzilla and its comments, there's a guy who updated the version info to support Firefox 22, so maybe that would work as well?

Here's the link to his manipulated version
Have updated addin to 22 https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B_CE2l4Osa3SUkZYdjM2dE1pRGc
YES!
Job search turned discouraging. Cover artist no longer doing covers, only web sites and animated things. (Plowing ahead.) Thank you for making one thing easier!

Yes, it downloads. You need to open the .xpi within Firefox, in the Add-Ons Manager via the option "install Add-on from file" otherwise it won't work.
If it didn't download for you, tell me an e-mail I can send the tiny file to, so you can get it that way.

Need to take a break and move boxes.

Here's where I find it (I'm off to bed after this) - my Firefox version is 16.02
Menu point Tools > Add-Ons > Add-Ons Manager opens
At the top there's a gear symbol > a click on it reveals several options and one of them is "install add-on from file" which then opens Windows Explorer to direct to the actual place where you saved the file on your desktop.
Good night and good luck!

Thank you for all your encouragement! Every piece of software I currently look at it new, with a new layout. Very annoying.
