So, Alfreda needs blurbs from writers who enjoyed her.
I am finally bringing out Night Calls and Kindred Rites in ebook--and I hope in POD, which means room on the back for blurbs. I realize that I am blessed with several nice blurbs, considering that Harpercollins made no effort whatsoever to get blurbs for my mass market books. (This imitated Warner. Is it any wonder I am not going back to NYC with the third Alfreda? They may get another chance with another book.)
If you remember enough about the books and would like to contribute a blurb/blurbs for this re-release, I would be delighted to hear from you.
There's one bribe. Once there is a finished and edited Book Three (289 pages and rolling) people who blurb Night Calls and Kindred Rites will be offered a file for the third Allie book. To read and enjoy, and blurb, or not, as time and inclination allow. In thanks!
If you would like to see the books for the first time, a copy edited and connected Word doc file will be available for Night Calls soon. (Very soon--September release, I hope!)

(for those not in on the joke: I was the editor who tried and failed to get the Alfreda books for our imprint, back in the day. So yeah, I kinda love those books)

Thank you, my friend. I would love to have your vote of approval for Allie up there with Jane Yolen and Andre Norton!

I loved the books and I just wanted to help.

The only way there will be more books from me in a timely fashion is if we can find me a living wage out of my fiction. So just things like forwarding listings when they come out to "boost the signal" and telling me your favorite review sites will be a good thing. I hope to get Allie into more libraries this time, so figuring out how to spread the word--lots of ways to help!
Thank you for offering. ;^)
