Banned Books Week.....

As I mentioned over on Facebook, I didn't have time this fall to research and write a new post for Banned Books Week. But there's a nifty one over at Daily Kos called There's More Than One Way to Burn a Book. And it includes a great tale from Ray Bradbury, and a wonderful close.

"There is more than one way to burn a book. And the world is full of people running about with lit matches."

Or let Kurt Vonnegut, another writer from Indiana, speak for us all, through Benedict Cumberbatch's reading of Vonnegut's letter to the principal whose school burned his books.

Don't burn books. Read them. Then, if you don't like what they say?

Write a rebuttal. Write your book.

Earlier posts of mine on Banned Books and book burning include An Accidental Burning and The Season of Censorship. No promises that all the links still work!
