Kindred Rites Digital is Now on Sale!

I have committed BookBub in an attempt to get my ranking up at Amazon, and it's helping. To do a good BookBub you have to drop the price into the basement. So for a limited time--an ebook for .99!

Kindred Rites--Available at this price at Google Play, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and iBooks. This link goes to all of them. Tell the world!

Also--Kobo.com is having a 30% off sale starting today on selected titles! If you're a Kobo shopper, you should wander over and see what's for sale, shouldn't you? Of course you should. Your promo code is NEWYEAR30, and it's good for more than one book!

And if you aren't a Kobo shopper, perhaps this is a good weekend to check them out? We don't want Amazon to control the world, now do we?

(Yes, you might find some of my works on coupon sale, too!)

Here ends the promotional part of our blog.

I will definitely be picking up the trilogy somewhere, though I was sort of surprised to see that BVC isn't one of the places with the sale . . .

Three reasons it's not:

1) Someone on our book staff has to make the change over to the sale price at multiple places in the store. It's tricky enough that since I haven't done it since we launched the new store, I don't try to do it myself. They normally do this when our sale rotation starts--beginning of the month.

But that would have meant a price that has been up more than 14 days, negating my arrangement with BookBub. You learn less than 30 days out if they will take your book. So...I will request a price drop for February for the book, but my tired brain could not figure out a way to do it without inconveniencing a fellow BVC member. I hate to lose real money (the sales are loss leaders, I make .33-.45 per book, depending on venue. I'd make .95 at BVC.)

We are still volunteer--and like most groups, certain people do more work than others do. Don't overwhelm people is my motto.

2) BookBub will not put a click button for Book View Cafe. Not worth their time yet.

3) I'm exhausted, I can't find a job, and I need this income. I have to deal with BookBub as they exist. Some people would sell their mother for a BookBub exposure. This is my second--but they turned down this book the first time. They create their mix carefully for their followers.

At these venues, I believe the most money comes in this order:

Google Play
Kobo
Barnes & Noble
iBooks
Amazon
