Records....
Last night, when I thought about a short post, it was 11:30 pm, 93 degrees F., and 103 degrees heat index. We've been running between 106-110 degrees in heat index (that's how hot it feels, as opposed to the actual mercury--let's get that humidity in there!) Sixth driest June on record. I started watering trees this week. The high pressure dome on the state may move next week, allowing rain to slip into the forecast.
No, folks of the northlands, we don't think you're wimps. We have a totally different scale, that's all. We actually have been known to pray for hurricanes....
Other records worth noting:
1) A 13 year old Burmese can projectile vomit three feet, from a 3 foot perch, if facing out of the bathroom as opposed to toward one of the sinks. And then mosey to the opposite side of the bedroom, of course...
2) To those "Noodlers" of the south--perhaps it'a time to start using high test line...
