We cleared off the dining room table (a serious victim of Cat Gravity*, if you know Robin Wood's book) for Christmas dinner. The goal--keep it clean. I'm willing to say, anything put on it has to be gone by bedtime.
As of this moment, it is still empty, except for the cat centerpiece (a statue given to us for housewarming--he'll go in the labyrinth eventually.)
I'm rather pleased.

And usually our table also has a cat statue...a beautiful figurine of a 15 pound sleeping tiger cat...till he wakes up.
