Record!

We cleared off the dining room table (a serious victim of Cat Gravity*, if you know Robin Wood's book) for Christmas dinner. The goal--keep it clean. I'm willing to say, anything put on it has to be gone by bedtime.

As of this moment, it is still empty, except for the cat centerpiece (a statue given to us for housewarming--he'll go in the labyrinth eventually.)

I'm rather pleased.

*Robin has a frame site, so this link goes to her book page--you need to click on Cat Gravity from there.

Yes, I know all about Cat Gravity. Not only have I read the book, but I experience it on a daily basis. currently the ammount of cat gravity spilling over onto our dining room table is 60% less than normal. That, of course, is after we cleaned it off and set the same goal...it didn't work for us.

And usually our table also has a cat statue...a beautiful figurine of a 15 pound sleeping tiger cat...till he wakes up.

It is strange and amusing to glance over at the table and see two or three cats intead of just the statue.

Or the one marmalade tiger cat mirroring the statue, facing the opposite way. After all, the birds are the OTHER way...

I can see defending the table will be a trick. At least the pad is on it to protect it.
