We had a bit of a disaster here at the casa today, when an ethnic feline made a preemptive strike on an ethnic avian.

With predictable consequences.

Now we have one male zebra finch in deep mourning for his mate.

If anyone raises finches or would like to have a free head start on a pair of finches, Philip would love to be relocated to a feline-free zone.
