Won't mention the exposed' name here--he has to earn his way back into print.

One word is is actually two: Living Wills.

Otherwise, these comments from several AP articles might interest you. The *** shows where AP broke the stories in the version I saw.

How Terri Schiavo's situation might impact you. )

Update I read up on the details of the case, and found this:

"The brain scans clearly show that the entire cerebral cortex has been replaced by spinal fluid. No mindreading is needed to know that someone who no longer has a cerebrum is no longer with us."

This is from http://www.markarkleiman.com/ .

Tragic.

This one came down to two questions, both valid:

No option for deep jewel tones? )
You want my AGE? I'm not old enough yet to boast! )
Sounds like an SF/Fantasy writer to me. )

Just missed some real excitement last Saturday.

We organized a field trip with friends to go to Lockhart, TX and Kreutz Market for BBQ. The place is literally a huge barn, all pit and tables. no sauce ("We got nothin to hide") and only recently did they add sides. The pork chop was recommended and Very, Very Good, and the Prime Rib was WONDERFUL, and will be repeated. **Great** BBQ--need to update their URL, they're moved in.

We then hurried back to Austin to Chez Zee, the dessert capital of the Capitol, and W and I shared a Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cheesecake (a mix of regular and chocolate cheesecake with a raspberry truffle on top!) that was awesome, and if we'd each gotten one of our own we'd be two pounds heavier.

Each.

That excitement we missed? Someone from W's work was 30 minutes behind us in Lockhart. The thrill was grapefruit-sized hail. His car was nuked, and probably totaled, but everyone is okay.

W sees this as our getting there and back safely as proof that the Powers wanted us to have BBQ at Kreutz's.

Sunday was W helping a friend dig for a path in his back yard, and I did laundry and watched ROTK: Extended with a friend.

The Sears repair guy is supposed to to show tomorrow--ten days wait for a service call on a washer!
