I stumbled into the blog of Brit P.D. Berger today, and read his comments on how he felt following 9/11 and the recent bombing in London. He's admitting that his world view has shifted. He has realized that the BBC may be the finest news organization in the world--but the people running it have biases, very strong ones. And the BBC has given him a biased view of the world that is not good and not fair.

As I wade through my friends page lately, I notice that more and more of us are sending our impassioned stories out and forgetting to use Cuts. And our stories are getting very long.

It's not that I won't look behind the cuts. I do. But when you don't use a cut, I'm likely to rush by your writing to see who has posted, and how many I need to try and read during that break. And if you post a very long link, you pull everyone else's Friends Page out of alignment.

So--if you don't know how to use cuts, and want to, here's the link:

If you do, remember to use them so we can have the joy of "opening" your letter to us! Thank you!
