Take a peek at the coffee table book that will be POD in the next month or two. The icon used here was one of the entries.

I tried to get a shot of the waterfall erupting over the side of the deck gutter during a Texas gully washer, but the pic wasn't good enough to share.

Northern New Hampshire is having a crisis -- not only have they lost 2 of their 3 dealerships (and thus the only car repair places around) but they're about to lose a community center -- a small French bakery and coffee shop. See, the way immigrants who work in the US on an E2 have to renew is return to the embassy in the country they came from. Unfortunately, the immigrant has to show that the business makes a substantial profit, or is crucial to the local economy.

We're talking hard-scrabble northern New Hampshire -- anything still open is a raging success, by local standards.

One of the two owners of this little bakery is now stranded in Paris, unable to return since her visa was denied. Her partner is running out of flour, despite community help running the place on busy days. It's hard to get back in the queue, if you've been denied once. But a lot of folks are trying to get her back where she belongs. In north New Hampshire.

So -- pass it on, spread the word to anyone who might be able to call attention to this situation.

Because the folks in NH need their coffee shop and French Bakery. The writers need their home away from home! Probably no Starbucks up there, people. Think how you'd feel if there was NOTHING that filled this niche in your life!
