Anyone want to try a free month of Netflix?

I can pass on the offer, if so. Overall, I've been pleased with it. I get one a day, the next following after they receive the first, and that works out to an average of 15 a month, costing around .72 a DVD. Since I am researching a lot of anime, the price is right!

They sure hang in there...

Anyone else keep getting job postings from Monster years after you stopped updating your resume? They kept warning me they'd delete it, after XX months of no activity. But maybe a year or so ago, either people started posting for things in my former area, or Monster decided to resurrect the fossils on their site.

Boobs.

From Daily Kos, someone from my summer ball park --

Muskegon Critic says: I need this ONE THING, RIGHT NOW. Affordable, portable insurance.

http://www.dailykos.com/hotlist/add/2009/6/3/121931/6434/displaystory//

Moi, aussi. I am paying $535 a month with a suggested $3000 deductible which is actually $6000 because everything except basic lab is out of network. (They charge the chiropractors to file -- even if they are affiliated with the Insurance company. Small wonder they have one chiropractor on board that no one has heard of.) It will go up $130 in July. I still am too screwed up to work outside.

Do you understand, Mr. President? Blame it on us, we have strong backs. Either the Congress figures this all out, or you add the entire country to the legislative insurance rolls. They have great insurance!

Or we all become little echos, bumper stickers and yard signs proclaiming: "My Senator/Congressional Rep voted against all portable insurance systems. I'm voting for the other guy. How about you?"

About Kindle and contracting rights for same....

Has anyone licensed a novel to Amazon for Kindle? If so, would you be willing to tell me how your negotiations went, and how you settled the royalty business? As always with Amazon, they seem to want the lion's share, and if I'm lucky there will be crumbs left.

Off-journal is fine.
