They sure hang in there...

Anyone else keep getting job postings from Monster years after you stopped updating your resume? They kept warning me they'd delete it, after XX months of no activity. But maybe a year or so ago, either people started posting for things in my former area, or Monster decided to resurrect the fossils on their site.

Boobs.

Do you remember "Second verse, same as the first" ?

Yeah, that's about it. I do my free writing on LJ and Book View Cafe (some interviews to come out as premium content.) Otherwise, I'd like to be paid for my work. Since it may never happen, that is what the tubes of paint are for -- making something that is difficult to demand for free (although people will try it.) I've found that some charity silent auctions work out well for LMTs. The people buying the gift certificates never use them.

Right now I am dealing with very unsatisfactory medical news, and hoping a few office supply boxes get unpacked today! I didn't even do two of three medical exercises, though work got done.

So -- what 'cha want to do for your birthday?

Well...

I'm actually going to be at Ft Hood briefing one of my favorite Colonels (informally, even) and then returning home to definitely disco nap and possibly make it out to a late concert. If not this concert that's lined up, maybe treat myself to dinner out somewhere.

These all sound like good plans! Since I'm an energy wimp, I wouldn't be much fun, but since there's no Odd we can't find out what kind of cake you want!

That's like all those catalogs with the big message on the front saying "THIS MAY BE YOUR LAST CATALOG!" The only way I ever got any of them to stop mailing me catalogs was to move -- bulk mail doesn't get forwarding service or change-of-address notices. I'm sure whoever is living at my old address is STILL getting the damn things.
