Over at the How to Write Shop. Lori Devoti talks about her experiences with changing around covers to fit the audience she wants to reach. Her advice? Take off the author and editor hat and put on the ad hat. You need to sell the sizzle, not the steak.

Maybe this is what I need to do -- change the covers for my Nualas. But to what?

Live Journal a bit wonky?

Is anyone else having weird things happen when they hit the preview button -- like you get three screens of the proposed entry, two of them pop-ups, and one of those blank? Then you have to close the pop-ups and hit back to return to the text box?

Looks like it will be about 2 weeks before I charge out of here, which gives me some time to get my ducks in a row. Thanks to all who had suggestions on flight. Once I know how long my sister is staying, I will get on the dime.
