One week sans diet sweeteners!

So, how are you all doing sans Equal and the other culprits? I mentioned going without such stuff for two weeks, and my specialist thought it was a great idea. She believes that the stuff increases hunger pains. I've found that a square of diet cinnamon gum doesn't trigger the cravings like a piece of diet candy can. But otherwise, I'm doing without!

Do you remember the Seinfeld episode where they all had a "bet"? About 10 minutes into the bet Kramer walked in, slammed down his money and said, "I'm out." I caved. I had about 1/2 of a diet soda last weekend. But it wasn't my fault! I swear! Hubby brought it into the house! If it wasn't here, I wouldn't have sought it out! I'm innocent!!! ;-)

However, I have been doing well along the lines of snacking. No salty chips in the house and no diet sweeteners or anything that contains diet sweeteners. I bought lots of fruit for when I need a little something in the middle of the day. I'm working out differently because of an injury (I still need to post about it) so I can tell that I'm working different muscles. It's all good! I'll finally check the scales today after about two weeks of not looking. We'll see!

Remember to try and balance your workout. I've actually worked on a client who had one thigh more more developed than the other. She was not sure she could push that one as hard, and ended up visibly unbalanced.

Slow and easy......

Yes, I'm being careful. Anything I do (or don't do) with one side, I do (or don't do) with the other. I'm doing a lot of core work right now. I figure that can't hurt! And I'm balancing that with cardio on the elliptical. So far it's working for me. I lost 2.6 pounds since I weighed last (two weeks ago)! Slow and steady wins the race!

Whee!

Very good! Just the right way to lose. I wish I could go back to walking, but the foot thing is not cooperating. I can get the pain down to almost nothing if I sit and work -- but each time I walk, it flames again.

So, right now I am on meds and fat because of it!
