Nothing like anger to get work done...

Well, that blasted lab test I have now taken TWICE, once in SF and once in Austin, was screwed up AGAIN by the lab, and I'll need to do it AGAIN -- once the paperwork arrives. And it will take three weeks from when I take it to get the results.

Can you say "not until after Thanksgiving?"

$#@^!

I know this is totally idealistic thinking, but geez, shouldn't by now the lab/docs/etc be paying for or at least reimbursing your expenses for THEIR screw ups?

Yeah, I'm laughing at that thought to... but still. Geez...you're paying an awful lot for someone else's mistakes.

When I talked to the Exec, she said I would not be charged again -- and a lady from billing said she'd refund me a check. Now, maybe that was supposed to equal out to be Zero for me, or maybe I'll eventually get the check in the mail. But . . . they are the only national lab doing the test.

Just in case . . . I think I'll see if Hebrew National has any associate labs. There's a new Dell Children's hospital here. Wouldn't that be an interesting coincidence?

Well, at least that's something anyway. But yes, we've ALL been to the "check's in the mail" place. Sigh.

Good luck finding new/associate labs. I hope it goes well with you -- though seeing "Hebrew National" and "Dell" in association with labs and hospitals makes me go to all kinds of Bionic Hot Dog places...

It's actually Nation Jewish in Denver, big teaching and research facility.

I could fly in and out November 14th for $140. If money wasn't so tight, I'd be there. Need to think about it first. And call the LabCorp Exec.

That is absolutely unconscionable! I sincerely hope that you won't be expected to pay for their incompetence. If you are, I'd consider contacting the Attorney General.

They say they've mailed me a check for the amount I put on credit card. If so, and they don't charge me for the next draw, I'll leave it there. If I get charged, I probably will report them for what is rapidly taking on the odor of a bad Daily Show sketch.... ;^)
