First for the season...
It is sleeting. There was some earlier, but it was melting on contact with the ground. After a bit of confused light rain, it's changed back to sleet -- and this time it is sticking to the edge of the rain barrel, to the grass and fallen twigs and leaves. So, maybe I'm not going to brave the path to the hot tub. (This a.m. I fortunately noticed that the arborists were back and parked on the side yard, heading for the hack-berry tree on the lot line -- next to the hot tub. I am glad I wore the robe!)
I wish we could have a snow day. Texas schools don't do those, do they? I hear from my sisters that Indiana schools don't have them anymore, either. They need those school dollars.
Time to heat rice sacks and sleep.

The second friend's old boss (she was out two years with her youngest) is trying to arrange for her to come back at part-time again. Apparently someone there wants to cut back hours. I wonder if that person will change plans, and the hours for my friend will vanish.
This makes me think I'd better find a job that starts after the first, first.... I hope all the clothing gets sorted and staged today, and receipts in the files. They'e sorted --
