And the candidates arrrrrrrrrrrre

A Lodge, Pro Logic, seasoned cast iron pizza stone, good for bread and maybe even oven fries.

Or, the Cook's Illustrated Top Choice baking stone, from a small niche company who makes grand flour.

They also have a peel that looks longer than the one at Amazon, stating the handle is 12" --

The Amazon is cheaper, and looks like a different one, but may not be:

Of course, I could wait until tomorrow and call Breed's and Sur La Table. Someone in town sells a lot of cast iron, but don't remember who....

The amazon looks to be 12x14 for the blade. The King A one looks to be 14x14 for the blade.

Agreed -- but Amazon talks about total length 27". So, which one is really longer? I REALLY need a long one -- sometimes the LBb Fugue has me so hyper-focused that I forget exactly what I'm doing -- like whether something just went in, or came out, and can I touch that piece?

Telephone the nice people at King Arthur Flour. They are very helpful and if they don't have the info right on hand can find someone who does.

Yup, they're good peeps, hardworking and proud of their work, as they should be.
