More on our Grand Opening...

bvc_floating_books

As you know, Bob, to celebrate the launch of our new online bookstore, we’re giving away books, and offering a limited-time discount on BVC anthologies. You'll see other discounts and coupons popping up as time goes on. The Grand Opening Giveaway runs from June 1 to June 7; you can enter here and on other member sites for multiple chances to win.

Here's how it works:

1. Browse the bookstore and find the book you’d like to win. Eligible works are marked with a gold star.

2. Leave a comment here telling me which book you would like and why (both are needed to qualify). Multiple comments will be disqualified. A valid email is required -- I can contact you through Live Journal or Facebook's email option, so make sure that's your current address.

3. By entering, you agree that your comment may be used for promotional purposes.

4. You can also visit the member sites listed below and enter in a similar fashion, as specified on that site.

5. At the end of the promotion, one winner will be selected at each site (here and on each author site). Winners will get a free coupon for the book of their choice.

During our Grand Opening, all BVC anthologies are available at half price except Ways to Trash Your Writing Career and Breaking Waves (our anthology that raises money for charity.)

Here are BVC author sites where you can enter for additional chances to win:

Maya Kaathryn Bonhoff

Chaz Brenchley

Patricia Burroughs

Jeffrey Carver

Amy Sterling Casil

Laura Anne Gilman

Lois Gresh

Kit Kerr

Katharine Eliska Kimbriel

Phyllis Irene Radford

Deborah J. Ross

Sherwood Smith

Jennifer Stevenson

Judith Tarr

Dave Trowbridge

Not even bothering to look will probably make me so discouraged that one of these biscuits with teeth will eat someone, and Allie's teachers will NOT be amused. This could slow the end of the book. I have to go write myself out of the next scene, so have fun at the bookstore!

By the way -- Sherwood Smith drew that cute bookstore picture. After all, the best celebrations have balloons and fireworks! Now you get both in one post. Thanx --

I was betting with myself that it was Sartorias ^^ - having seen her drawing and her self-made covers before. It really gets the spirit of celebration across

Balloons, like fireworks, are so ephemeral and colorful -- you just have to perk up when they're around. So, the logical things to announce the grand opening!

Hidden Fires!

I've got the other 2 in the set, but haven't gotten my paws on the 3rd yet, and I desperately want to know the rest of the story. I spent so many years just longing for the chance to read the Fires trilogy when it was out of print and not yet available electronically, and now I'd love to complete the collection.

You could pick almost anything in the store, so I'm honored you want to keep reading Nuala! You're entered!

Sorry that you've been wrestling with health issues. Still struggling here, too, but trusting that this is the year of change for the better.

I just discovered BVC a month or so ago when I went to find your books after seeing they were popular with The Book Pusher AKA 'Estara' LOL. I usually like what she likes. Wasn't wrong; your Nuala books are great.

Anyway, I was happy to visit again and discover the much improved purchasing interface.I will go back this week for more shopping.

best wishes to you and the BVC crew.

(so I just realized that I broke the rules and didn't tell you what book I would like to win...that is Fire Sanctuary because I recently read the first two and loved them both! Your world building and characterization is great.)

Yes, you must watch out for Estara -- my to-read pile has grown tremendously since meeting her online!

Glad you like the new store, and you're entered for for the contest here. If you have a moment, you can hit a few of the other members, too, and leave either this book or another one as one you want to win. Your odds are against the number of people who have entered on a site. (A couple of people haven't had anyone enter yet, so might be worth a visit or two!)
