Fellow job seekers...

This article talks about no-nos in the resume biz. It also has an interesting image (created for jobs in Europe, so they're talking about CVs as opposed to resumes.) It's worth taking a look.

A couple of things you can do right now include making sure you have a professional email address for responses. And get rid of a photo in your actual resume.

People put photos on resumes and CVs???? I can't believe people do that.

As far as resumes/CVs go, they look for catch phrases that you are a match. And if you are, when you go to the interview phone or in-person what they are looking for is a "culture match", not actually whether you can do the job or not. Weird isn't it?

I have reached the point where I have no clue what to put, and whether on not anyone is reading cove letters, resumes or apps.

Very tired.
