RIP Chef's Choice Electric Kettle 2007-2013

It served me well. I was researching newer ones a few months back for a series of article I need to finish, and now I get to use my research!

This is one of those trick questions/answers, because there are several really good ones out there. But--it's like cars. Looks and reliability count, and vary wildly.

The one that [livejournal.com profile] tylik above uses is a great one, except that it's one of the ones that apparently fails 25% of the time, straight out of the box. So, if it's carried locally, and you don't mind the possibility of returns (or shipping back if you buy it on line) that's a very good one.

I also like the looks of this Adagio Teas 3 UtiliTEA It's a little too contemporary for me, a bit chunky, but the ratings everywhere I looked are through the roof. Looks like their QC is excellent.

So--there are two good ones. Here's reviews on 24 kettles, if you want a lot of choices!
