Madeleine Robins found this excellent picture series by Klaus Pichler. Individuals in their often elaborate costumes, just hanging out at home, sometimes with pets, usually alone (there is one memorable group). Their homes are evocative. And each picture, for me, tells a story.

With my WIN 8 machine, I found that I could not back up in the photo series, so don't tap too quickly! There are many of them to like, but my favorite may be Cookie Monster. When you see him, I bet you'll guess why. Cookie Monster gives me not only an intriguing picture--Cookie Monster gives me Wanting...and not as you expect.

I've tweeted a bit, but have been either "a bit off" or working on a grant that must go through first draft by Sunday night. Octopodicon was wonderful, the friendliest convention ever -- such generous people with their time, talent and enthusiasm! Mel White and I are already working on a steampunk project for next year. Kudos to Noddy, Bev and the crew for a job well done! (And thanks to Morgen who came all that way to see me!) Highly recommended for all steampunk enthusiasts.

Speaking of projects -- it was bound to happen. Someone made a Weeping Angel From "Blink" and wandered around DragonCon with it. Very nice job, a costume's first duty being Effect.

And -- only, ONLY if you have seen the last episode from the Doctor Who 2012 Season Seven, and not before (Spoilers!) -- the missing scene from that last episode, "P.S."

Back to the grant research.... Oh, the headache. Is it too late for tea?

When storage is available, I'm a magpie. Can I use it sometime? Is it expensive to replace? Would it be useful someplace weird, like a prop or costume? (Can you tell I used to procure for stage productions?)

I packed in a hurry this time, unlike the two previous moves. So some things I'd kept in those categories that would have gone, say, to Goodwill, came along stuffed in odd places.

Last night I found my Ex-SO's ex-wife's wedding veil.

Top that if you will....
