A prayer to remember
Jan. 20th, 2006 04:17 pmI finally took a moment to go to Teresa and Patrick Nielsen-Hayden's Cafe Press site, and discovered that one of my favorites of their "uncommon comments" is from a longer prayer written by Archbishop Oscar Romero, who was assassinated 25 years ago. It ends thus:
“We are prophets of a future not our own.”
And it starts here:
It helps, now and then, to step back
and take the long view.
