Another festival --
Aug. 16th, 2006 01:36 amThe 73rd FETE DU CITRON® (LEMON FESTIVAL) IN MENTON was held from February 10 to 26, 2006. Think of it as a combination of Carnival and the Rose Parade.
"The Lemon Festival, an unique event in the world, attracts 200.000 visitors every year -- a figure which is constantly progressing. It is the second most important event on the Riviera after the Nice Carnival and just ahead of the Monaco Formula 1. More than 300 people are employed on the project and 130 tonnes of citrus fruits are used."
