...is to go and click daily on the charity sites for breast cancer, hunger, animal rescue, books for kids who have nothing, rain forest protection, and children's health.

Not only can you make a difference, but they have some great items for gift occasions! A percentage of everything goes to the charity.

Start here. Did you know a mammogram now costs $250? Help someone be diagnosed early, and give the gift of life.

KUT-FM towed off my little 1995 Mazda, my first brand new car, to sell at auction. It needed a rebuilt transmission, and there was no guarantee that would be the end of it (it's had a new radiator and new manifold hood recently.) But the tires were good, timing belt already done, etc. and the body damage was nothing to a trained professional.

They tell you they won't contact you again if it sells for under $500. Well, surprise, surprise, it sold for $800. So either someone will fix it up for themselves, or it's gonna be a flipper.

$800 for KUT, and deduction for me! Whee!

Here's a trailer for UNDER OUR SKIN: The Untold Story of Lyme Disease. It's cost $500,000 to film so far, and start the editing and adding music, etc. They need $100,000 more to finish the movie. This is a 501(c)3 organization, making educational films in this arm of their business. They already have interest from major cable groups, so showing it won't be a problem -- it's just that it's not the type of thing TV pays for up front. Amazingly, it is not trying to examine the firestorm of politics for Lyme -- it is just trying to tell about the difficulties of getting treatment -- or what to do if the disease is missed in the first 2-6 weeks.

Keep them on your charity list!

Right now you can add this link to your weekly clicking for hunger or mammograms or literacy -- Seventh Generation has a special, needed offer.

Women's shelters go through thousands of tampons and pads monthly. Assistance agencies generally
help with expenses of "everyday" necessities such as toilet paper, diapers, and clothing, but one of the most BASIC needs is overlooked - feminine hygiene products.

Seventh Generation, a green paper products and sanitary products company, will donate sanitary products to a women's shelter in your chosen state - just for clicking the link.

This is one of the places they ended up. I would adopt a couple of these foals tomorrow except that just keeping them for their gorgeous coats would be silly -- and I'm not sure my hands could stand up to riding anymore.

But here is the story -- and if you know of someone who has been looking for an appaloosa with great patterns, or a sassy quarterhorse -- or would like some Fjord or draft cross into a riding horse -- please pass this along in its entirety. I want to hear that the people who want new riding horses can find them here!
