Recommended. I buy these in trade paperback, by the way. Worth every penny. Feeling poor? Pick up the first used, and then buy the next new. Get on the wagon! You will love LAG’s NYC – even if you start looking out of the corner of your eye as you walk through Central Park.

Another variant of the Internet Scam --

Flying out the door, but wanted to tell all to pass along that the Internet scammers who have been gouging yoga instructors and massage therapists, among others ( www.texasmassagetherapists.com) are after musicians, too. They got these guys:

Spread the word and cut down on their victims. Remember -- if you don't know them, it might be a scam. And if you bite -- DO NOT SEND BACK MONEY, just sit on it. The check has to clear to be real.

Is anyone else not receiving email notification of responses to posts and comments? Mine have dried up. I catch the ones on my own site, but I can't hope to catch ones on other LJ pages.

Lyme disease reaches Chicago in a big way --

Adult tick testing 12/2006-05/2007 indicated that a third of them carry the spirochete for Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi) in Cook and Lake counties.
