Tomorrow (Saturday) I'll be at a cultural fair, so I won't be checking in until later in the afternoon. But my first post in the "Is Something Burning?" series goes up at Book View Cafe. This should be the link, starting at about 1 am or so...I think the blog is on EST.

It's a guide for the hyper focused.

From a woman who once read through a house catching on fire.

Really.

I almost called this an Aspiring Writers Info, but it's for everyone who reads or posts on the Internet.

Writer Catherynne M. Valente talks about the fact that if a woman had written what Christopher Priest said about the award nominations in Britain, she'd have been eviscerated online. I do not choose that word lightly, because it's happened before, and sadly, will happen again. Perhaps it is time to drag the politics of sexism out of the closet into the light of day.

Worth reading.

I hear that they've cut their staff by 50%. And I just renewed, sigh....

I hear the skinny is, save to LJArchive. But haven't found a post on it yet. So, if you know how to archive everything -- let me know!

This means eventually I will be posting more on www.blog.bookviewcafe.com, until I decide how to handle all this. To fans, I will find a place for a blog (now is not the best time for it, of course) and will post that site in here, if I still can, and at my brochure site, www.ke-kimbriel.com.

I want to be able to post cover pics, or artwork, as I am returning to my roots -- bought a mess of acrylics on sale. We'll see if I have what it takes to sell artwork. Once, I did -- but I wanted to write. Now, I want to do both, and something has to pay the bills.

'Til soon --

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just finished assembling the cake rounds covered with parchment paper as I prepare for the de-panning of the pumpkin spice cheesecake. (Clearly de-panning is not a word -- or a common one.) Book View Cafe's blog has my first post on my until now silent journey of macrobiotics. Also, part two from "Feather of the Phoenix" is up on Book View Cafe. This last is not a permanent link, so stop by today, or you'll need to look under Kimbriel for it!

Remember -- our goal is to have new material every day. Enjoy!

And liquid meds sipped (next macro post!) to the de-panning and the bird I hope they're cutting at Oliana0's house.

[livejournal.com profile] shadowhelm's sister is a teacher, and this sister has just started her own blog. You will notice that Shadowhelm is not the only one with the writing gene. Share with a teacher you know, she's just starting up:
